Portraits in their style

I used this picture of Benji because he often edits his pictures to make the them look really scary and completely different from the original photo. I asked Benji how he would edit this picture, and he told me he told me that he would blacken the eyes to look like a demon, so that what I did.

I noticed that Lotus uses a lot black and white photos. She also takes pictures that have white backgrounds to focus on the subject and highlight the emotion. I like this picture because it uses pure emotion and looks natural, since she was actually laughing when it was taken.

I noticed that in Veronica's pictures, she often takes them really close up and macro. She also does not use any edits. I took a picture of her face really close up, like she does with her pictures.

I noticed that in Alex's pictures, she uses layers her pictures with another picture. She also uses a lot of black and white. I liked this picture because its very serene and the trees that are layered on top add to the serenity of the photo.

Ben takes close up pictures and edits them by adding different colors. He takes less serious and more "playful" pictures. I also noticed how his pictures have some grain in them, so I added a grainy effects.

Sebastian uses a lot of black and white pictures. I also noticed how he blurs some of them to "censor" the pictures. This picture was already blurred because of the focus of the camera. I also saw that he uses a lot of nature in his pictures, so I decided to incorporate the green wall into his portrait.

I really like this picture because of the rolling fog, which is a trademark of San Francisco.

This is one of my favorite pictures because of the focus of the cat and the intensity of its expression.
I like how this picture is focused on the bamboo and plants, but has a Buddha statue in the background.
I like how this picture is really one dimensional and simplistic. The solid blue background also emphasizes the simplicity.
I like the angle of this picture because It shpws all the plants in the planter.

I like the simplicity of this picture with the white background and the shadow. Its also neat because of its in an environment that a cactus usually wouldn't be in.

San Francisco Series

These are all pictures i took in San Francisco.

This is a picture of the tip of the ferry building. I angled it the way i did so the background would be simple, with just the white sky.
This is a picture of the sunset in the Presidio. I left it unedited to show the soy colors of the natural sunset.
This is a picture by the cliff house at ocean beach. I like the textures of the rock and water a lot.
This picture is of the cliff house. I like the angle of the picture. It also has many grey tones which shows the true SF fog.
I took this picture from a ferry going to Marin. I like the textures that the ferry left in the water and the lift silhouetting the buildings.
This picture was taken at Pier 39.
I took this picture of some street art  I saw in Noe Valley. I was especially attracted to the vibrant colors of the orange paint.
This is one of my favorite picture of the SF fog rolling in after last weeks heat.
I like the textures of the wood in this picture and the simplicity.
This is a picture of a cat we saw in Noe Valley. I lied the angle of this picture because its at the height of the cat and it focuses on the subject.

I liked the color of the red in these leaves.
I liked the lighting and the texture of the leaves in this picture. The green is very vibrant.
I really like the colors, repetitiveness, and patterns in this picture.
The shape and colors in this picture made it very vibrant and a nice picture.
I liked the birds eye view perspective of these succulents.

I like how the background is white, but also shows the shadows and textures of the subject.
I like the focus and the calmness of this picture.
I really like the vibrancy of the colors and the lighting of this picture.
I like the birds eye view of this picture and how it shows  all the details even though its not the normal view you would see a cactus as.
I like the colors and vibrancy in this picture. I also like how the leading lines of the bamboo leads to the main subject.

Plant collages

I really liked the macro of the water droplets for this. I paired it with the moss picture because I thought the colors went well together.
I paired these two pictures together because the colors are similar since they were taken of the same plant but from different parts of it.
I really likes the dew drops in this picture. I also really like the focus of the picture above that its paired with.
I thought that the colors for this were similar and looked nice together.
I edited this by playing with the saturation and contrast. I really like the color that it is after being edited.
I edited this to black and white because i liked how the dew drops looked when they were black and white.
I took these on the same day and edited the colors with a pinkish tint.
I paired these together because they both have daisies.
I thought that the colors of the fence and the green of the moss went well together.
I like how the white flower looks paired with the plants from the green wall.

For my next series, I will be taking pictures of plants and natural objects and putting them into collages. I want to put pictures together that have similar colors or are in some way realted. I am also going to try different edits to make them look more interesting and unique.
